Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy has arrived in Brussels for a meeting with NATO chief Mark Rutte and several European leaders to discuss war strategy amid concerns that U.S. President-elect Donald Trump could pull U.S. support for Kyiv after he returns to the White House next month.
The evening meeting on December 18 comes as European leaders seek to develop their own plans if Trump, who has pledged to bring a swift end to the conflict, pulls support or forces Kyiv to make concessions to Russian President Vladimir Putin to reach a cease-fire.
European leaders have insisted that only Ukraine should decide when it is ready to negotiate with Russia.
