York Haven Borough Wastewater System acquired by York Water Company [Video]

YORK, Pa. — The York Water Company has acquired the wastewater collection and treatment assets of the York Haven Sewer Authority. 

JT Hand, the president and CEO of The York Water Company, made the announcement on Tuesday, Dec. 10. The acquisition reportedly adds approximately 230 sewer customers to The York Water Company’s expanding portfolio. 

“York Water is pleased to provide our reliable wastewater services to the residents of York Haven Borough,” Hand said. “York Water is already the water provider for York Haven Borough and portions of Newberry Township, so adding wastewater services was a natural fit. This will create a number of efficiencies and improve overall system reliability. As an existing, trusted member of the York Haven Borough community, we look forward to further building upon this relationship.”
