The Way Home is heading back … home.
The popular series was initially slated to move to Hallmark+, Hallmark’s new streaming service, for its third season premiering in January, with a fall linear debut planned according to Variety.
But now, “after hearing from the many passionate, loyal fans,” the show will premiere on Hallmark Channel on Friday, January 3, at 9 p.m., with streaming available the following day on Hallmark+. Fans had expressed frustration—especially in Facebook groups—over the prospect of subscribing to another streaming platform, with some even threatening to boycott. This release strategy will continue throughout the season.
Hallmark+ launched in September, offering several original series like The Chicken Sisters and Celebrations With Lacey Chabert. Since then, more exclusive content has been added, including The Groomsmen and Love on the Danube trilogies, as well as Jonathan Bennett’s Finding Mr. Christmas and Mistletoe Murders.
