As preparations for the forthcoming 2024 TNM Super league season continues, Silver Strikers have registered a 3-2 victory against Mafco FC in a friendly match played at Silver Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
The home side opened the scoring through Duncan Nyoni who scored from a rebound after Chimwemwe Idana’s shot was denied by the woodwork in the 36th minute.
Substitute Gift Chunga extended Silver’s lead just some seconds in the second half after a beautiful exchanging of passes with Binwell Katinji.
Chunga completed his brace in the 73rd minute with a simple tap-in after receiving a cross from Katinji.
Prince Kachere and Marshall Maluwa were on target for the Salima-based soldiers but their goals were not enough to deny Peter Mponda first victory since he took charge of the Area 47 side.
