Rockdale goes 1-3 at Smithville’s Winter Holiday Classic [Video]

The Rockdale girls basketball team finished with a 1-3 record at Smithville’s Winter Holiday Classic over the weekend.

The Lady Tigers bested Marion 43-40, but fell 54-32 to Smithville, 54-40 to Lockhard and 41-36 in a second meeting with Smithville.

Trinity Hurd was Rockdale’s leading scorer in three of the four games as she finished with team-highs of 12, 19 and 14. The only game that she didn’t lead the team in scoring in was the loss to Lockhard as Reginay Hamilton and T’Niyah Miles each had eight. 

Rockdale (10-10, 1-1) will return to District 19-3A play next as the Lady Tigers host Little River Academy at 12:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The JV will get things started at 11 a.m.
