Liberty University Professor and IRD Board Member Dr. Rebecca Munson spoke on November 1, 2024 at IRD’s annual Christianity and National Security Conference in Washington, D.C. Her message to the gathered students and professors is on how future American foreign policies can and should address both human rights and real wrongdoings.

Munson (PhD, George Mason University) is Associate Professor and Chair for Government & Public Policy at Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia. Within the School of Government, she oversees the doctoral program in public policy and teaches a range of courses on international relations, human rights, and research methods. Prior to Liberty, Dr. Munson taught at George Mason University and the University of Colorado. Her research is on U.S. foreign policy and human rights and she regularly contributes to IRD’s journal of foreign policy and statecraft, Providence.
