Randolph-Macon wins 11th straight over Hampden-Sydney [Video]

Randolph-Macon overcame a slow start on the road to top rival Hampden-Sydney 27-6 Saturday afternoon.

With the win, the Yellow Jackets own the lead in “The Game,” a long lasting rivalry dating back to 1893.

The Yellow Jackets now own the all-time series at 59-58-11. They have won 11 in a row and 13 of the past 14.

Hampden-Sydney started off with a bang, scoring on its first drive with a Wendell Thompson 9-yard TD pass to Sutton Lasso. The Kam Mahoney two-point attempt failed.

The Tigers (5-5, 3-4 ODAC) played a hard-fought first half on defense and managed to blank the Yellow Jackets (9-1, 7-0) during the period. It was a sloppy half with four total punts, a Yellow Jackets turnover on downs and interception, and a Tigers fumble.
