A hot mic seemed to catch an off-camera comment during Fox News’ broadcast of Tuesday night’s election results.
It happened as host Bret Baier was providing analysis just after 2 a.m. Eastern time, shortly after Fox News projected former President Donald Trump to be the winner.
“You know, the question is, what the Republican Party looks like now,” Baier said. “It’s a multiracial party, to your point, it’s working class, and maybe it’s the future. I mean, it’s Elon Musk. It is Joe Rogan and podcasts.”
After Baier mentioned Musk’s name, a voice was heard saying, “Oh, Lord.”
Trump heavily courted the male vote during his campaign, leaning into a hypermasculine tone and allying with the likes of Musk and Rogan and their audiences.
When Trump declared victory in the early hours of Wednesday morning, he was joined onstage by Dana White, the chief executive of the Ultimate Fighting Championship.
