GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) – A new survey looks at how much time teenagers say they’re spending on social media — and if you have teenagers at home, the results may not be shocking to hear.
The survey of teens ages 13 to 17 is from the Pew Research Center. It found nearly half of all U.S. teenagers say they’re online almost “constantly.”
That’s despite concerns about the effects of social media and smartphones on their social health. We’ve reported on that quite a bit here at the First Alert Safety Desk.
The most widely used platform the survey asked about was YouTube: 90% of teens say they use the site. That’s down from 95% in 2022.
73% of teenagers said they are on YouTube every day.
TikTok, Instagram and Snapchat also remain very popular among teenagers.
