What was your earliest ambition?
I was always very competitive from a sports perspective, but from a young age I was focused on owning and running my own business.
Were you a good student?
No. I have often described my journey as a circuitous route through education. I ended up boarding in St Brendanβs College in Killarney and enjoyed my time there.
Post-Leaving Certificate I landed in Galway and did Property Management before dropping out halfway through the first year and heading to New York, which gave me a bit of perspective.
I returned to Galway and completed a business degree, mainly through reading newspapers every day.
In the not-too-distant past, I completed the Leadership for Growth programme through IESE Business School in conjunction with Enterprise Ireland.
