The Chattanooga Parks and Recreation Committee held their first meeting on Thursday, March 21.
The group is comprised of 15 people who are focused on the impact parks have on the city of Chattanooga.
Their job is to advise the City Council on what improvements need to be made around the city parks.
The group is the first of its kind in Chattanooga, and they have high hopes for what they will accomplish.
The group will focus on city plans during their next meeting.
