Challenges of Job Market Versus Housing Market in the Region [Video]

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber and Eastern Gateway Regional Council of Governments are developing a regional housing strategy to look into issues the area faces in regard to housing a growing workforce.

Justin Mondok, director of planning and development for Eastgate Regional Council of Governments, says affordability and access to housing are two major components being looked at in the area.

“We looked at all of these factors to figure out what are the areas where we can make small adjustments and really capitalize on small wins to make sure that we’re making an impact,” Mondok says.
