LOS ANGELES, USA — The 81st Golden Globe Awards, organized by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, officially opens the year’s entertainment awards season with an evening of recognizing the past year’s best performances in film, TV, and more. 2023 saw a lot of iconic pop culture moments fueled by entertainment – from Barbie to Oppenheimer, from Beef to The Last of Us, and everything in between – and the annual Golden Globes kicks off the celebrations with the first batch of big winners for the new year.

Hosted by Jo Koy, who also happens to be making history as the awards’ first-ever Filipino-American host, the 81st Golden Globes was a big night for Asian creatives and storytellers, with some of the evening’s biggest wins awarded to their brilliant works and performances.
