UNOs Quality of Life Survey Orleans and Jefferson Parishes [Video]

The University of New Orleans recently dropped its biannual 2024 Quality of Life Survey Orleans and Jefferson Parishes.

The survey explains the general satisfaction of residents living in their respective parishes, as well as opinions on public systems, programs, utilities, and officials.

According to survey respondents, these are the top five problems facing Orleans parish:

In comparison, here’s the chart outlining the largest concerns facing Jefferson parish residents.

In almost every category, the general sentiment of Orleans and Jefferson parish residents trended upward.

The number of those that believe Orleans parish has become a worse place has fallen. In 2022 the number stood at 62%, but fell to 41% in the most recent survey.

Optimism for Orleans parish is also rising. Forty-one percent registered voters believe the city is becoming a better place to live, up from 35% two years ago.
